This fundamental question defines the context of this work. whatever we think we are-we are not that. the toltecs might say anything we think we are is a limtiation. Toltecs consistently break down all ideas of perception, all ideals of self. The modern Toltec method appear to stem from Carlos Castaneda's work and the extensive teachings of don Juan Matus. The modern Toltec warrior Victor Sanchez was among the first to elucidate the practical methodology of don Juan's work. Beyond the questions of authenticity of the narrative of Casteneda, there is no doubting the authenticity of the practical methods, their efficientcy and their underlying connection with Truth. Ancient Toltec teachings are less easy to define-the lineage that seeds one aspect of these teachings is seated in Xochicalco in Mexico. Site of an ancient Toltec school, teachers and seekers from all the continents assembled there at one time to exchange and share views on the path to freedom. Clues to all this appear in the writings of Castaneda. For those who wish now to taste their potential beyond current limtations, this work is an exceptional point of entry. faithful to the traditions yet utterly contemporary and present, these are opportunities to encounter spirit, to step beyond ordinary perception and glimpse real tranquility in the storm that is "I" or the conditions we blame for our dissatisfaction or unhappiness. a foundation for access to insight as well as programmes of self study in specialised fields. Through this work, life obstacles can be quickly identified. appreciation and harmony may arise with applied practice. the practice is internal and external, providing a balanced approach to work on self. the work is intense yet well supported. how else can we exceed our limitations than to see they do not exist-unless we cling to them. For those who truly wish to know the path to freedom and understand that the highest work makes demands upon what we believe and think ourselves to be. |
